Mercor is recruiting UK-based UX/UI Product Designers with technical web engineering experience for a research project with a leading frontier AI lab.
We are seeking experienced UX/UI designers who have worked on end-to-end digital product design and have a strong understanding of how modern web products are built. Candidates should be comfortable working across user experience, interface design, product flows, technical constraints, and design-to-engineering handoff.
This role is focused on digital product design, not brand identity or marketing-site-only design. Strong candidates should have experience designing functional web products such as e-commerce platforms, marketplaces, customer portals, booking flows, onboarding journeys, checkout experiences, or internal operations dashboards.
Ideal candidates have experience with one or more of the following:
UX/UI design for complex web products
E-commerce or marketplace user flows
Checkout, booking, onboarding, or account management experiences
Logged-in customer portals and self-serve platforms
Internal tools, admin panels, or operations dashboards
Product design systems and component-based design
Design-to-engineering handoff and implementation collaboration
Working closely with product managers, engineers, and data/analytics teams
Understanding front-end engineering constraints, responsive design, and web implementation tradeoffs
Preferred candidates have experience at one or more of the following companies:
Publicis Sapient
Red Badger
Valtech
Kin + Carta
ustwo
EPAM Continuum, specifically Experience Design / Product Design roles
Or another leading digital product, UX/UI, or product engineering studio
You'll help create, review, and evaluate high-quality UX/UI product scenarios, leveraging your experience in product design, web interfaces, user flows, and design-engineering collaboration.
The vetting process involves:
Resume and portfolio review
Short interview evaluating UX/UI product design and web product expertise
Please note: Candidates must be based in the United Kingdom and have the right to work in the United Kingdom. These are essential requirements for the role.
