QuickBooks Tax Expert

AfterQuery is seeking QuickBooks Tax Experts to create and refine tax software challenges for training AI models. In this remote, flexible role, you will design and evaluate QuickBooks tax scenarios that test the AI's ability to interpret and apply tax preparation principles within QuickBooks software, ensuring that our models can navigate real-world small business tax preparation, bookkeeping integration, and software workflows with precision and practical insight. Your expertise will help bridge the gap between proven QuickBooks tax practice and innovative AI solutions, making a tangible impact on the future of tax technology.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality QuickBooks tax questions and case studies that challenge AI models on topics such as chart of accounts setup, transaction categorization, tax forms generation, reconciliation, payroll tax processing, year-end procedures, and more.
• Evaluate and validate model responses, offering detailed feedback to ensure accuracy and adherence to QuickBooks best practices and tax regulations.
• Collaborate with a team of tax and technical experts to fine-tune question difficulty and ensure content is both challenging and educational.

Requirements

• Proven experience using QuickBooks for tax preparation and bookkeeping with a robust understanding of tax principles and QuickBooks functionality.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations as they apply to small businesses and individuals.
• Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Multiple years of QuickBooks experience, ideally supporting diverse small business clients across various industries.
• QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification or advanced QuickBooks certifications.
• CPA license, Enrolled Agent (EA) designation, or tax preparation credentials is a plus.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and integration with tax software (ProConnect, Lacerte, etc.) is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI or technology-driven tax and accounting applications is a plus.
