We're sourcing ML, systems, and distributed systems engineers with deep, internals level JAX experience (e.g. custom transformations, XLA/MLIR compiler work, custom primitives, distributed sharding, custom kernel authoring) — full time professional or research experience required. Fully remote, rolling onboarding.
Responsibilities
- Complete assigned technical tasks involving JAX
- Ensure code runs correctly through full runtime, including any extended, unattended runtime
- Complete tasks independently within a rolling onboarding schedule
Requirements
- Full time professional or research experience with JAX
- Demonstrated internals level experience in at least one of the following: custom transformations (grad/vmap/pmap, custom_vjp/custom_jvp), custom primitives and lowering rules, XLA/MLIR compiler level work, distributed sharding (pjit, jax.Array, GSPMD), or custom kernel authoring (Pallas)
- Access to suitable hardware (GPU/TPU enabled machine or cloud instance)
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in ML, systems engineering, or distributed systems engineering
- Contributions to JAX, XLA, or adjacent open source libraries (Flax, Haiku, Optax, Equinox)
Why Apply
- Work on technical tasks matched to your area of expertise
- Flexible, fully remote engagement
- Opportunity for ongoing work as new tasks arise
