Pharmacy Technician Expert

AfterQuery builds the expert evaluation data that frontier AI labs use to measure and improve their models. We're hiring certified pharmacy technicians as contractors to author and grade the medication workflow scenarios those evaluations run on.

A model can define a DUR rejection. Workflow judgment that is accurate, safe, and in the right order is the product here.

What you'll actually do

• Author realistic prescription processing and adjudication scenarios
• Write reference answers that show the correct workflow order, not just the end state
• Grade model output for dosing math, sig interpretation, and safety flags
• Catch answers that would fail in a real pharmacy queue

Who this is for

• Active CPhT (PTCB or NHA) or state pharmacy technician registration
• 2+ years in a retail, hospital, or specialty pharmacy
• Fluent in sig codes, NDCs, days supply math, and insurance adjudication
• You can document a pharmacy workflow clearly enough for someone else to follow it

Contract and pay

• $45 to $65/hr, paid weekly via Stripe. Your rate is set from your experience, not negotiated down after you start.
• Fully remote, fully async. No fixed hours.
• Minimum 10 hours per week, no maximum. Scale up or down week to week.
• No screen recording, no keystroke monitoring, no idle timers.
• Independent contractor. Ongoing project work rather than single task batches.

How our hiring process works

1. Apply at /apply/pharmacy-technician-expert. About five minutes. Resume plus a few structured questions.
2. Resume review. Every application gets read against a published rubric and gets a decision.
3. Written assessment. You may be asked to take a written assessment for further placement.
4. Onboarding. Sign the contractor agreement, connect Stripe, and get platform access.
5. Project match. You're matched to live work in your specialty, usually within a week of onboarding.

Requirements

• Active CPhT certification (PTCB or NHA) or state pharmacy technician registration
• 2+ years working in a retail, hospital, or specialty pharmacy
• Working knowledge of sig codes, NDCs, days supply math, and insurance adjudication
• Clear written English for documenting pharmacy workflows
• Able to commit at least 10 hours per week

Preferred Qualifications

• Sterile or nonsterile compounding experience (USP 797/800)
• Specialty or mail order pharmacy and prior authorization experience
• Pharmacy software fluency (Epic Willow, PioneerRx, or equivalent)
