English Writing Generalist

About the Role

What if your way with words could directly influence how AI communicates with millions of people? We're looking for talented English Writing Generalists to write, refine, and evaluate content that teaches AI systems how to produce clear, accurate, and natural English.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role open to anyone with strong English writing instincts and a sharp eye for quality. No AI or tech background required — just a genuine command of the English language and a commitment to doing excellent work.

What You'll Do

• Write and edit original English content across a wide range of topics, tones, and formats
• Review AI-generated text for clarity, accuracy, grammar, structure, and consistency
• Identify subtle errors, ambiguities, and phrasing that feels unnatural or off-brand
• Apply detailed style guidelines with precision and consistency
• Provide structured, actionable feedback on writing quality
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

Who You Are

• Native or near-native English fluency with strong written communication skills
• Naturally detail-oriented — you spot the typo everyone else misses
• Comfortable evaluating writing quality across diverse topics and styles
• Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
• No formal writing, editing, or AI experience required

Nice to Have

• Background in writing, editing, journalism, content, or communications
• Experience with proofreading, copyediting, or quality assurance
• Familiarity with style guides (AP, Chicago, etc.) or content platforms
• Interest in AI and how language models work
