About the role
We're hiring experienced legal reviewers to create rubrics and run quality control on large volumes of processed legal documents. This is a review and verification role — not drafting, not advisory.
You'll work across the full range of commercial legal document types: commercial contracts, employment and HR records, IP and technology agreements, regulatory filings, corporate records, insurance policies, financing and debt instruments, litigation files, real estate documents, and tax filings. Breadth matters far more than great depth in any single practice area.
What you'll do
Create rubrics to grade legal documents against that can be understood and applied by a layman
Review processed legal documents against a written QC rubric, checking that every identifying and sensitive element has been correctly handled
Flag and categorise defects, and escalate ambiguous cases for adjudication
What we're looking for
US-based, qualified lawyer with 3+ years' post-qualification experience, ideally in-house or as a generalist commercial counsel
Comfort moving across many document types
Experience in managed document review, e-discovery, contract management, or data privacy is a strong advantage
Demonstrable precision and consistency on high-volume review work
Able to follow a written protocol closely, and to improve it
