micro1 is engaging Mechatronics Engineers to contribute to a specialized video annotation project for a customer's advanced robotics initiative. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. You will review and annotate video footage of robotic arms performing complex tasks, tagging sessions based on provided grading guidelines.

Scope of Work Review recorded video sessions of robotic arms executing various industrial tasks. Apply provided grading and annotation guidelines to tag, classify, and comment on each session. Identify, document, and categorize mechanical or control problems observed in the footage. Utilize expert understanding of machine movement to pinpoint reasons for operational failures or inefficiencies. Ensure all annotations are precise, comprehensive, and align with project standards to advance AI training quality. Collaborate with project coordinators as needed to clarify ambiguities in guidelines or video content. Deliver consistent, high-quality annotations within the framework and timeline established by the project.

Preferred Qualifications Professional background in Mechatronics Engineering or closely related discipline. Prior experience with video annotation or data labeling, especially for robotic or industrial automation systems. Demonstrated ability to spot and interpret mechanical and control problems in complex machinery. Strong attention to detail, with a record of producing accurate technical deliverables. Understanding of why and how machines fail and the dynamics of robotic movement. Experience supporting AI training or machine learning projects is highly preferred. Ability to work autonomously and deliver results in a remote, asynchronous project environment.
