micro1 is engaging 360° Video Recorders (Insta360 / GoPro MAX) to contribute to a customer's project by capturing immersive, high-quality footage with leading 360° camera equipment. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input.
We are looking for individuals to collect video of themselves performing natural, everyday activities across a variety of indoor, outdoor, and vehicle environments.
Collection may include third-person recordings of everyday activities as well as vehicle navigation tasks.
Camera Requirements
You must already own or have access to a compatible camera with:
- A minimum 170° field of view (FOV)
- A minimum recording resolution of 720p
Compatible camera examples include:
- Insta360 X3, X4, X5, X6
- DJI Osmo 360
- GoPro MAX, MAX2
- Other action or 360° cameras that meet the minimum 170° FOV and 720p requirements
Mounting Equipment
You do not need to already own the required mounting equipment to apply.
Depending on the task, you may need:
- A rigid backpack, harness, or similar third-person mounting rig with an extension arm or pole
- A secure vehicle camera mount for vehicle navigation recordings
Already owning a compatible backpack or vehicle mount is a plus and may allow you to begin collecting sooner.
Reasonable equipment costs for required mounting hardware may be reimbursed.
Examples of compatible third-person mounting rigs include:
- Insta360 Third-Person Backpack Mount and other harness-mounted extension system
Third-Person Camera Setup
The camera must be: - Mounted above and behind you - Angled slightly downward - Positioned far enough back to keep your entire body consistently visible - Stable enough to maintain the required third-person perspective during normal movement
If using a camera with less than 360° FOV, the mounting setup must position the camera far enough away to keep your entire body in frame while also capturing the surrounding environment.
Your full body should remain visible throughout normal movement without frequently leaving the frame.
Handheld selfie sticks, chest mounts, shoulder clips, and stationary tripods do not meet the required third-person perspective.
Expected Recording Tasks may include: - Natural everyday activities - Indoor and outdoor activities - Walking and moving through different environments - Vehicle navigation and driving-related recordings - Other similar real-world activities provided in the collection instructions
For vehicle navigation tasks, the camera must be securely mounted to the vehicle.
Recording Requirements - Capture a variety of activities and environments - Each continuous clip must be at least 60 seconds long - Record at a minimum resolution of 720p - Follow the required camera position for each assigned task - Keep the relevant activity and surrounding environment consistently visible - Follow all provided recording and safety instructions
Examples of recording style we are after:
Compensation - Rate: $20 per hour of approved video (PPT) - Payment is based on the duration of video that successfully passes quality review and is accepted for delivery.
Start Timeline & Availability: Roles are being filled with immediate availability, with your starting time dependent on the shipping time of equipment to your home.
