In this hourly, remote contractor role, you will work as a PR & Communications Subject Matter Expert (SME) to review AI-generated PR/communications outputs and/or create expert communications content, evaluating reasoning quality, messaging discipline, and step-by-step decision-making while providing precise written feedback. You will assess solutions for clarity, accuracy, tone, stakeholder fit, and adherence to the prompt; identify issues in narrative coherence, positioning, media readiness, reputational risk, claims/compliance, and crisis-response logic; fact-check statements where needed; write high-quality explanations and model deliverables (e.g., press releases, statements, FAQs, pitches, comms plans) that demonstrate best practices; and rate and compare multiple responses based on effectiveness, correctness, and reasoning quality. This role is with SME Careers, a fast-growing AI Data Services company and subsidiary of SuperAnnotate, delivering training data for many of the world’s largest AI companies and foundation-model labs. Your PR and communications expertise directly helps improve the world’s premier AI models by making their public-facing writing more accurate, on-message, risk-aware, and clearly explained.

Important: There is no immediate project for this role; however, if qualified, you will be among the first experts we reach out to when relevant opportunities arise. This will also provide you with access to future projects available through our expert network.

Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). - 5+ years of professional experience in PR and/or communications (agency or in-house), including writing and media-facing deliverables. - Strong command of message development: narratives, proof points, objection handling, Q&A/FAQ frameworks, and tone control. - Experience producing core comms assets: press releases, media pitches, bylines, statements, talking points, internal comms, and executive notes. - Ability to evaluate outputs for accuracy, defensibility, and risk (overclaims, legal/compliance sensitivity, forward-looking statements, confidentiality). - Familiarity with crisis comms principles: rapid response, stakeholder mapping, escalation paths, holding statements, and post-incident learnings. - Strong editing and QA skills; ability to provide specific, actionable feedback and write gold-standard rewrites with rationale; minimum C1 English proficiency. - Reliable, self-directed, and able to deliver consistent quality in an hourly, remote contractor workflow across time zones. - Prior experience with AI data training/annotation, editorial QA, newsroom/press office workflows, or comms review is strongly preferred.
