About the team

SME Careers is our platform for recruiting, onboarding and paying the domain experts and annotators behind our AI projects. The team works across Dhaka, Armenia and the United States. Our Mirpur DOHS office in Dhaka is home to core engineering, workforce experience, forward-deployed engineering and part of project management. You'll be part of the Dhaka team, with hybrid and remote work supported. You'll report to a manager in San Francisco and work regularly with our teams in the US and Europe.

The role

From the moment someone applies to SME Careers until they're paid for their work, you're the person they come to when something goes wrong. That might be a stuck application, a missing interview invite, a confusing guideline, lost platform access or a late payment. You fix it or route it to the right team, notice when the same problem keeps happening, and keep projects moving. The job will be contracted through our local partner in Bangladesh.

What you'll do

• Help applicants and contractors at every stage, from application, assessment and onboarding through project work and payments, using Slack, Discord and our support tools.
• Resolve issues with Talent, Engineering, Finance and project leads. Escalate clearly when something needs a decision.
• Keep an eye on project progress and contractor capacity, and help reassign work when a project falls behind.
• Spot recurring problems and turn them into fixes: better FAQs, templates, SOPs or guideline updates.
• Keep issue tracking and handover notes clean so nothing slips between shifts.

Your first weeks

You'll shadow the Dhaka team, learn our platform and project workflows, and start handling applicant and contractor questions on your own by week three or four.

What you'll bring

• 1–3 years in support, community or operations, ideally at an AI data, tech or BPO company.
• Excellent written English. Most of your work is written communication with contractors around the world.
• Comfort managing several workstreams in spreadsheets and tools like Slack, Discord or Jira.
• A habit of noticing when something's off and chasing it until it's fixed.
• Nice to have: data annotation or QA experience, a basic understanding of LLMs, Python or advanced Sheets formulas.

Schedule

We support projects around the clock. You'll work 5 days a week on a rotating roster that can include weekends and night shifts. Shifts are published in advance.

• BDT 35,000–50,000 per month, based on skills and experience
