Finance Professionals: Designing Challenging AI Prompts

What We're Researching

This paid trial is the opportunity to be accepted into the Terac network of finance experts — a network that pays $110 per hour for future finance projects. We're building a bench of finance professionals (banking, accounting, FP&A, investing, corporate finance, fintech, and related roles) who are exceptionally good at designing tasks that expose where AI models fall short on real financial work.

Complete this trial well, and you're in: you'll be considered for future paid, asynchronous projects with our finance vertical at $110/hour. We don't yet know exactly when those projects start, but everyone who completes this trial goes through an onboarding step and is placed in line for what's next.

How It Works

You will spend about 25 minutes describing a financial workflow you know well — the tools and software you actually use, and how much time you spend on them — then turning it into a demanding prompt that requires real financial reasoning. After running it in ChatGPT to identify where the model fails, oversimplifies, or gives risky advice, you will refine the prompt until it breaks the system. Finally, you will write a clear grading rubric that a stranger could use to evaluate any AI's attempt at your task.

Who This Is For

We welcome finance professionals of any background who are fluent in English and have an active LinkedIn profile. No prior AI training experience is required — if you've never done this before, this is exactly what AI training is: using your real-world finance expertise to find the gaps in AI's financial reasoning so it can be made better. If you already have AI training or rubric-design experience, tell us about it. Candidates who excel at this trial will be considered for a long-term bench of evaluators and future paid finance projects at $110/hour.

Responsibilities

• Pick a familiar workflow and convert it into a demanding AI prompt
• Test your prompt in ChatGPT to find failure points, making it harder if the AI succeeds
• Write a comprehensive rubric for grading the AI's performance
• Share your screen, camera, and microphone while completing the task
• Submit your prompt, failure notes, rubric, and the generated output file
• Describe your financial background, workflow, and the tools/software you use

Requirements

• Deep familiarity with a specific professional or personal workflow
• Ability to quickly evaluate the accuracy and quality of AI outputs
• Access to a laptop or desktop computer
• An active ChatGPT account
• Comfortable being screen-recorded while thinking through complex tasks
• Professional experience in finance (banking, accounting, FP&A, investing, corporate finance, fintech, etc.)
• Fluent in English
• Active LinkedIn profile
