About Turing:
Turing is one of the world’s fastest-growing AI companies, accelerating the advancement and deployment of powerful AI systems.
Turing helps customers in two ways: Working with the world’s leading AI labs to advance frontier model capabilities in thinking, reasoning, coding, agentic behavior, multimodality, multilinguality, STEM, and frontier knowledge; and leveraging that work to build real-world AI systems that solve mission-critical priorities for companies.
Role Overview:
In this role, you will work on cutting-edge initiatives to fine-tune large language models by grounding advanced nutrition, dietetics, and culinary operations domain logic. The ideal candidate possesses deep experience in food-and-nutrition mechanics—spanning macronutrient calculation, recipe scaling, ingredient costing, grocery budget rollups, and strict dietary restriction handling—along with the ability to translate culinary rules into deterministic spreadsheet logic. You will play a direct role in evaluating and refining AI-generated tools, ensuring outputs match professional nutrition and menu-planning standards.
Requirements:
- Core Experience: 5+ years in nutrition, dietetics, culinary or menu planning, or food-service operations.
- Domain Expertise: Deep, hands-on familiarity with calorie and macro targets, recipe scaling (per-serving vs. per-batch), unit-level ingredient costing, and dietary/allergen restriction logic.
- Writing & Logic Translation: Strong, concise professional writing skills with a proven ability to translate nutrition guidelines and recipe math into deterministic spreadsheet formulas and validation structures.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to establish strict operational guardrails (e.g., verifying macros sum to calorie targets at 4/4/9 kcal per gram, maintaining food-cost percentage targets, managing allergen exclusions).
- Technical Infrastructure: Personal desktop/laptop equipped with a stable, high-speed internet connection in a remote setup.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will serve as the nutrition and culinary operations expert setting the quality benchmark for food-focused AI applications. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Authoring Skills & Guardrails: Defining discovery parameters (calorie/macro goals, household size, dietary restrictions, budget) and nutritional guardrails for AI builders and canvases.
- Context & Workflow Co-Design: Co-designing interview workflows and validating context files, including recipe cards, pantry inventories, and grocery receipts.
- Grounding Golden Assets: Verifying macro and costing formulas, recipe unit scaling, grocery list rollups, and validation dropdowns across flagship recipes like meal planners and kitchen dashboards.
- Quality Sign-Off: Reviewing and signing off on AI-generated outputs to ensure complete alignment with professional dietetic, culinary, and menu-engineering practices.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in any field.
- Experience in AI evaluation, data annotation, content review, quality assurance, or a related analytical role is preferred but not required.
