- Create schematics, select components, and develop PCB layouts.
- Perform circuit simulations, signal-integrity analysis, and power-budget calculations.
- Build and test prototypes, conduct design verification, and troubleshoot hardware issues.
- Develop and maintain design documentation, including schematics, BOMs, test plans, and technical reports.
- Collaborate with firmware, software, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality teams.
- Support design reviews, product validation, production release, and hardware improvements.
- Identify design risks and recommend solutions to improve performance, reliability, and cost.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, EMC, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in hardware design and development.
- Strong knowledge of analog, digital, and power electronics.
- Hands-on experience with schematic-capture and PCB-design tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence, OrCAD, or KiCad.
- Experience with laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and power supplies.
- Understanding of microcontrollers, communication protocols, sensors, power supplies, and embedded hardware.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with high-speed digital design, RF systems, battery-powered products, or embedded systems.
- Knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, thermal design, and EMC/EMI testing.
- Experience with hardware bring-up, Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and Design for Testability (DFT).
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, component sourcing, and engineering change management.
- Experience taking products from concept through prototype, validation, and production.
