About the Opportunity

We are seeking senior product design experts who have led the design of category-defining products, platforms, and design systems. This is not a traditional UI/UX design opportunity. We are looking for designers whose work has directly influenced business outcomes through improved conversion, engagement, retention, revenue, payment volume, or company valuation.

The ideal expert has built products that millions of people use every day and has demonstrated an ability to solve complex product challenges at the highest level of the industry.

Who We're Looking For

We're interested in product designers with current or previous experience at leading design-driven technology companies, including Apple, Airbnb, Figma, Stripe, Linear, Notion, Ramp, and Duolingo. We also welcome exceptional candidates from Google, Meta, Microsoft, Netflix, Spotify, and world-renowned design consultancies including IDEO, frog, Pentagram, MetaLab, Work & Co, ustwo, Instrument, Huge, Accenture Song, and Designit.

Qualified candidates typically hold or have previously held titles such as Principal Product Designer, Principal Designer, Staff Product Designer, Senior Staff Designer, Distinguished Designer, Founding Designer, Design Director, Director of Design, Head of Design, VP of Design, Chief Design Officer, Creative Director, Executive Creative Director, Design Lead, or Partner.

What Makes You a Strong Fit

You have led the design of flagship products, major redesigns, checkout experiences, design systems, or other core product initiatives that produced measurable business impact. Your work has improved key metrics such as conversion, engagement, retention, revenue, payment volume, user growth, or company valuation. You have designed products used by millions of users and have a track record of translating customer needs into commercially successful product experiences.

Strong candidates have been promoted into senior individual contributor or design leadership roles, have served as founding or early designers at companies that later achieved significant scale, and maintain a portfolio showcasing shipped work. Additional indicators of excellence include speaking at industry conferences such as Config, WWDC, or Google I/O, receiving design awards, holding patents, or earning recognition through major publications.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates should have at least eight years of product design experience, including a minimum of two years at high-performing technology companies or internationally recognized design firms. Education from institutions such as Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), Carnegie Mellon University, ArtCenter College of Design, Parsons School of Design, or the Royal College of Art is valued but not required.

What We Are Not Looking For

This opportunity is not intended for candidates whose experience is primarily focused on visual design, marketing design, branding, or short-term freelance or agency work without clear ownership of shipped digital products. Generic UI/UX design experience without measurable business outcomes or profiles centered primarily around design tools rather than product impact are unlikely to be a fit.

Selection Criteria

Successful experts typically demonstrate several of the following: senior design leadership at a world-class technology company, ownership of a flagship product or platform, measurable business impact attributable to their work, a history of promotions into increasingly senior roles, founding or early-stage experience at a company that achieved significant scale, and public recognition through conference speaking, awards, patents, or published work.
