Software Engineer – Python + Docker

This is a fully remote, asynchronous contractor opportunity. Experts complete one task per day on average, with each task focused on realistic software engineering workflows that help train and evaluate next-generation AI systems.

COMPENSATION

• $300 per completed task

• One task completed per day

• Fully remote and asynchronous work

• Short-term contractor engagement with immediate start available

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking experienced backend software engineers with:

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience

• Strong Python proficiency, including experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django

• Experience building and maintaining backend applications

• Familiarity using Git, Docker, and modern development workflows

• Daily proficiency with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools

Strong candidates will also demonstrate:

• A solid understanding of software engineering best practices, including version control, testing, and code quality

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail

• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in distributed engineering teams

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

While not required, experience in any of the following is a plus:

• AI evaluation, benchmarking, or model assessment

• AI data creation or annotation workflows

• Building SaaS integrations or APIs

• Developing QA frameworks or evaluation methodologies

• Designing realistic, long-horizon software engineering tasks for AI systems

SELECTION CRITERIA

Candidates whose profiles are selected will complete a 90-minute technical screening focused on Python and Docker.

Participants who:

• Successfully pass the screening

• Join the study

• Complete at least one task

will receive a $100 onboarding bonusin addition to standard task compensation.

 

CONTRACT DETAILS

• Duration: 2-3 weeks

• Start Date: ASAP
