Zulu-English Medical Translation Expert (Licensed Doctor)

You'll work alongside a team of Zulu-speaking medical students, providing expert-level review, resolving complex clinical terminology questions, and ensuring the final dataset meets the rigorous standards required for LLM training. This work is conducted in partnership with a leading LLM research lab developing next-generation medical AI systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Perform expert review of English–Zulu medical translations across ~1,000 entries Resolve terminology disputes and provide authoritative clinical judgements Evaluate AI-generated outputs for clinical accuracy, fluency, and appropriateness Collaborate with the medical student team to maintain consistency Provide structured feedback to inform model improvement IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS Licensed medical doctor (MBChB or equivalent; active licence preferred) Native Zulu speaker with high-level written English proficiency Experience in clinical practice (any specialty considered) Comfortable working independently in a remote, asynchronous environment NICE TO HAVE Familiarity with medical translation or clinical documentation WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE Expert-level annotations completed to high accuracy and clinical validity The student team's outputs are anchored to a consistent quality benchmark Dataset is completed within the agreed 4–6 week window Feedback is structured and actionable for the research team CONTRACT & PAYMENT TERMS
