Technical Music Expert

You will produce precise, timestamped technical analyses of music and help assess recordings against a defined standard. It is a good fit if you have graduate-level music theory and transcription skills and enjoy documenting music with rigor.

What you will do

• Produce detailed technical write-ups of music, following a precise format.
• Annotate audio according to defined guidelines.
• Help review other contributors' work as part of quality control.

What we are looking for

• A graduate-level, conservatory-trained, or professional musician.
• Strong music theory and transcription skills: key and modulation, chord notation, meter changes, and instrument and register identification.
• The ability to write clear, well-structured prose and hold to a precise format.
• An analytical ear and the patience to document a track thoroughly and accurately.
