Basic Music Expert

You will listen closely to music and evaluate it against a structured rubric, then write short, plain-language impressions of what a track feels like. It is a good fit if you have a strong ear, listen carefully, and can apply a clear standard consistently across many tracks.

What you will do

• Listen to audio tracks and annotate them according to detailed guidelines.
• Write short notes capturing your impression of a track.
• Help review other annotators' work as part of quality control.

What we are looking for

• A current or recent music student, or equivalent experience.
• A reliable ear for melody, harmony, and overall musical quality, with the consistency to apply the same standard across many tracks.
• Clear written English and strong attention to detail.
• Comfort following a defined rubric and working independently.
• Familiarity with a wide range of genres is a plus.
